MORPLAN
At Morplan, history is at the heart of every piece we create. Our journey is
rooted in the rich heritage of India, dating back to the 1750s when the British
Empire first arrived on its shores. A century later, in the 1850s, the East India
Company established vast cotton mills across the country—monuments of
the industrial era that have since been abandoned and forgotten by time.
Rather than letting these historic structures fall to ruin, we saw a unique
opportunity to preserve the past while embracing the future. We responsi-
bly reclaim the aged hardwoods and sturdy iron salvaged from these disused
cotton mills—materials that have weathered generations and grown more
beautiful with time.
Morplan transforms this reclaimed wood and iron into distinctive, sustainable
furniture tailored for modern spaces. From restaurants and boutique hotels to
characterful pubs and cosy cafés, our handcrafted pieces carry an authentic
story, combining timeless design with robust craftsmanship. Each item is not
just furniture—it’s a slice of history repurposed for contemporary living.
By breathing new life into old materials, we honor heritage while contribut-
ing to a more sustainable world. At Morplan, beauty, history, and sustainability
come together in every creation.
